Jam Jumbles
Jack was shown this recipe when visiting a friend, Loki, towards the end of 2019. Loki's brother Zane makes these frequently and made them while Jack was visiting.

Equipment
- Mixing bowl
- Rolling pin
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain flour self raising for a puffier jumble
- 1 tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp water
- jam
Instructions
- Mix flour, salt, and butter in a mixing bowl until it is a crumbly dough
- Add a teaspoon of water to the dough so it is sticky, if it isn't sticky add more water
- Take the dough out of the bowl and knead until it is not sticky
- Put small pieces of dough onto the backing tray flattened out
- Put a dollop of jam in the centre of each piece of dough and pinch the dough over the jam to enclose it
- Put the baking tray into a pre-heated over at 180 degrees and bake for 20 minutes or until cooked
- Take the baking tray out of the oven and set aside to cool
Notes
Variation:
Roll out the dough flat and spread jam all over. Roll up the dough to make a scroll log and bake like this.
