Irish Cream

A good Irish Cream is a great way to finish off a meal, especially at Christmas… actually, especially most of the year. As yummy as it is, it can cost as much as a bottle of Irish Whiskey. Is this as good as having a Bailey’s Irish Cream? Opinions vary but a few have said it is just as good.

I found a recipe online from somewhere, but I didn’t have the chocolate syrup it had. Adapting to what I had in the cupboard, Nesquik Chocolate Quik was the substitute needed without a trip to the store.

I hadn’t expected the instant coffee to be an ingredient but it works well. I had no idea how much Quik to add so it took a few attempts to get the quantities right, including adjusting the amount of coffee.

With the assistance of willing participants as taste testers, this is the recipe that has been used several times since. Bringing a bottle of Irish Cream to a Christmas gathering, and even as a gift, this recipe has been well received by many.
